Welcome to Red Down

At Red Down the beef and lamb that we produce comes from animals that are born and raised on our farm – located 5 miles outside of Launceston in North Cornwall, between the villages of Egloskerry and Pipers Pool – and butchered locally;  ensuring that food miles are kept to a minimum.

All of our cows and sheep are grass-fed; grazing the fields of the Red Down in the summer and enjoying our home-grown silage and whole-crop whilst housed in the winter.

Being part of the Red Tractor Farm Assurance scheme ensures that our farming methods meet the highest of welfare standards. It is a combination of all of these factors which leads to the unique taste of Red Down Beef and Lamb.
